What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is a state-commissioned official who helps deter fraud by verifying identity, confirming a signer's willingness and completing the appropriate notarial certificate.
Depending on the requested notarial act, the notary may witness a signature or administer an oath or affirmation.
Can you explain the legal meaning of my document?
We can explain the notarization process, but we cannot interpret your document, explain its legal effect or advise you about whether you should sign it.
Questions about the document's contents should be directed to the issuing organization or a licensed attorney.
Can you create, prepare or correct legal documents?
No. ProSigning Notary Group is not a law firm and does not draft, prepare, select or correct legal documents.
Your documents must be prepared before the appointment. If you need help selecting or completing a document, please consult the document issuer or an attorney.
Can you help me obtain a Power of Attorney?
We can notarize a completed Power of Attorney when the signer meets the requirements for notarization.
We cannot select, draft or complete the document for you. The document should be obtained from an attorney or another appropriate and trusted source before the appointment.
Are you an attorney?
No. Elizabeth Reyes is a Texas commissioned Notary Public. ProSigning Notary Group is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.
Do you speak Spanish?
Spanish-language assistance may be available for scheduling and general appointment communication.
We do not provide document translation or legal interpretation. Please contact us before scheduling if your document or appointment involves specific language requirements.
What types of documents can be notarized?
Common appointments may involve affidavits, powers of attorney, acknowledgments, jurats, medical documents, business agreements, school forms, bills of sale and certain real estate or maritime documents.
The document must contain an appropriate notarial certificate or the signer must know which notarial act is required. A notary cannot select the notarial act on the signer's behalf.

Appointment Preparation
Preparing your identification, documents and signers in advance helps your appointment proceed smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
What should I bring to my notary appointment?
Please have the following ready:
• Acceptable identification for every signer
• The complete document requiring notarization
• All required signers present at the appointment
• Any required witnesses, unless arranged in advance
• Payment for the remaining appointment balance
Do not leave important document sections incomplete, but wait to sign any signature that must be witnessed by the notary.
What identification is required?
Each signer should present an acceptable government-issued photo identification document. The name on the identification should reasonably match the name appearing on the document.
Commonly presented identification includes a state driver's license, state identification card, United States passport or military identification.
Identification requirements may depend on the document and notarial act. Please contact us before the appointment if the signer has expired, damaged, foreign or unusual identification.
Must my documents be completed before the appointment?
Yes. Documents should be complete and ready for notarization before the appointment. A notary cannot fill in, prepare, correct or make decisions about the contents of your document.
If you are unsure how to complete any portion, contact the document issuer or an attorney before your appointment.
Should I sign the document before the notary arrives?
Please wait to sign any signature that must be witnessed by the notary. Certain acknowledgments may involve a signature completed earlier, but the signer must still personally appear and acknowledge signing the document.
If you are uncertain, leave the signature blank until the notary reviews the notarial certificate at the appointment.
Does every signer need to be present?
Every person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary with acceptable identification.
If the signers cannot attend together, separate appointments may be necessary. Please contact us in advance so the arrangement can be reviewed.
What if my document requires witnesses?
Witness requirements are separate from notarization requirements. Please confirm with the document issuer or an attorney whether witnesses are required and whether they must meet specific qualifications.
Clients are generally responsible for arranging their witnesses. Witness assistance may be available for an additional fee when requested and confirmed in advance.
What if the document is incomplete or incorrect?
The notarization may need to be postponed if the document is incomplete, contains blank spaces or cannot be notarized in its current condition.
ProSigning Notary Group cannot correct the document. Appointment, travel or wait-time fees may still apply when a notarization cannot be completed because the document or signer was not ready.
Can someone else speak or sign for the signer?
The signer must personally communicate their willingness and awareness to the notary and must be able to complete the signature as permitted by the applicable notarial procedure.
A family member, caregiver or facility employee cannot answer identity, willingness or document-awareness questions on the signer's behalf. Contact us before scheduling if special accommodations may be required.

Do you travel to my location?
Yes. ProSigning Notary Group is a mobile notary service, which means we travel to an agreed location for your appointment.
Appointments may take place at a home, office, hospital, nursing facility, rehabilitation center, correctional facility, maritime facility or another approved public meeting location.
Travel fees vary based on distance, appointment time, parking, facility access and other location requirements.
What areas do you serve?
Mobile services are available throughout Pasadena, Houston, Deer Park, La Porte, Southeast Houston and surrounding areas.
Extended travel may also be available for appointments in Baytown, Channelview, Seabrook, Kemah, Galveston and other nearby communities.
Please provide the complete appointment address when requesting service so travel availability and pricing can be confirmed.
Do you offer same-day or after-hours appointments?
Same-day, evening, weekend and after-hours appointments may be available when scheduling permits.
Advance notice is recommended, especially for appointments involving multiple signers, witnesses, printing, extended travel or facility coordination. Rush or after-hours fees may apply.
Do you provide hospital or nursing-facility notarizations?
Yes. Mobile appointments may be available at hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted-living communities, nursing facilities and hospice locations.
The signer must have acceptable identification and be willing, aware and able to communicate directly with the notary. Facility access, medical conditions and visitor policies may affect the appointment.
Please confirm the signer's readiness and the facility's visitor requirements before scheduling.
Can you notarize documents for someone in jail?
Jail and correctional-facility appointments may be available, subject to the facility's rules, access procedures and scheduling requirements.
Before requesting the appointment, please confirm the inmate's location, identification availability, visitation eligibility and the facility's policy for professional notary visits.
Additional coordination, parking, wait-time or facility fees may apply.
Do you handle real estate and loan-signing appointments?
Yes. Loan-signing services are available for title companies, lenders, signing services, real estate professionals and individual clients.
Appointments may include purchase documents, seller packages, refinances, home-equity documents and other real estate signing packages.
Printing, scanbacks, document delivery and shipping requirements must be disclosed before the appointment so accurate pricing and scheduling can be confirmed.
Do you provide estate-planning notarizations?
Yes. Mobile notarization may be available for completed estate-planning documents such as powers of attorney, trusts, directives and other documents prepared by your attorney or document provider.
ProSigning Notary Group does not draft, select or explain legal documents. Please confirm all signer, witness and notarization requirements before the appointment.
Can you assist with apostille requests?
Apostille facilitation and document courier assistance may be available for documents intended for use outside the United States.
An apostille is issued by the appropriate government authority, not by the notary. Processing requirements depend on the document, issuing authority and destination country.
We provide administrative assistance only and cannot offer legal advice, guarantee government approval or advise on the legal effect of a document in another country.
Do you notarize maritime or shipping documents?
Mobile appointments may be available for certain maritime, vessel, cargo, shipping and port-related documents that require notarization.
Service may be available near the Houston Ship Channel and surrounding port or maritime locations, depending on access, security requirements and appointment availability.
Please provide the document type, complete location and facility access instructions before scheduling.
Do you work with attorneys, businesses and title companies?
Yes. ProSigning Notary Group welcomes appointments and ongoing service requests from law firms, title companies, lenders, real estate professionals, healthcare facilities and businesses.

Pricing & Payment
Review how appointment pricing is determined, when payment is due and which additional services may affect your final total.
How much does a mobile notary appointment cost?
Mobile notary appointments generally start at $45. Final pricing depends on the appointment location, number of signers, number and type of notarizations, requested appointment time and any additional services needed.
A price estimate will be provided before the appointment is confirmed. Additional charges will be disclosed whenever the requirements are known in advance.
Is the travel fee included in the notarization fee?
Notarial fees and mobile travel or convenience fees are separate pricing components. Travel pricing is based on distance, travel time, appointment location, parking, tolls and facility-access requirements.
Please provide the complete service address when requesting an appointment so an accurate estimate can be prepared.
When is payment due?
Payment is generally due at the time of service unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.
Certain appointments may require a deposit before travel or preparation begins. Any remaining balance is due according to the terms provided when the appointment is confirmed.
Do you require a deposit?
A deposit may be required for after-hours appointments, extended travel, large signing packages, printing, facility coordination or other appointments requiring advance preparation.
The deposit amount and applicable cancellation terms will be communicated before the appointment is confirmed.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods include:

• Major credit and debit cards
Payment availability and any applicable processing terms will be confirmed before payment is collected.
Are there additional fees for certain appointments?
Additional charges may apply for:
• Extended travel outside the standard service area
• Same-day, rush or after-hours service
• Parking, tolls or facility-access expenses
• Printing large or mixed-size document packages
• Scanbacks, document delivery or shipping
• Witness assistance when available
• Excessive wait time or appointment delays
Known charges will be explained before the appointment is confirmed.
Is there a fee if the appointment cannot be completed?
Travel, appointment, printing or wait-time fees may still apply if the notarization cannot be completed because a signer is unavailable, lacks acceptable identification, is unwilling or unable to proceed, or the document is incomplete.
Please review the appointment requirements in advance and contact us if you are uncertain about identification, witnesses, signers or document readiness.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or rescheduling. A cancellation fee may apply when an appointment is cancelled less than two hours before the scheduled time.
Deposits, printing expenses, completed travel and other costs already incurred may be non-refundable. The applicable terms will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
Will I know the price before the appointment?
Yes. We will provide an estimate based on the information supplied when you request service.
To receive the most accurate estimate, provide the complete appointment address, number of signers, document type, approximate number of notarizations, preferred appointment time and any printing, witness or facility requirements.
If the appointment requirements change, the final price may also change.
